To say McKenna's hair had gotten long would be the obvious and I knew it was time to do something about it. Too many fights about combing it and trying to find ways to keep it out of her face/food. A week ago I brought up getting her hair cut and to my surprise she loved the idea. Everyday she would ask me if we could get her hair cut that day. It was a very long week for her, but Saturday finally came and we, the 3 girls made our way to "Studio Salons" in Bonney Lake where sweet Diana Parsons cut about 11 inches off her hair.

Ear-ache
Over the last month or so (I lose track) as the girls go to bed Tyler goes through a list of way to procrastinate our leaving the room. Her latest excuse an earache has been a bit of a concern not sure whether it was a real concern or not.
Last night as we were brushing teeth my conversation with Tyler went like this:
Me: Tyler does your ear hurt?
Tyler: No it's ok
Me: Will it hurt when we get upstairs for bed
Tyler: Yes
Me: Ok, just making sure.
As John and Tyler were walking up the stairs Tyler then informed her Dad that her ear didn't hurt but it would when she got in bed.
And it did, right as we were walking out the door.
Glad to get that cleared up. I love 3 year olds.

The Week at a Glance: April 18-24
McKenna began going to school FULL time about a week and a half ago. It just kind of happened-class pictures were to be taken and if she wanted to be in them McKenna had to be at school when it started. Sofie, a friend in her Th/Fri class takes the same bus in the mornings and so McKenna found the courage to go with her that morning.
Since then she has made a new friend, Dakota a 1st grader, who McKenna describes as, "he has orange hair and makes me laugh". Bless these 2 kids for helping McKenna through this transition. She now LOVES riding the bus in the morning and going to full time kindergarten everyday. She did so well last week that her sweet bus driver named her "Bus Rider of the Week" and gave her a folder with some stickers in it. McKenna was thrilled and has carried the folder around all week.
John and I began running 2-3 times a week in the mornings. This morning although not thrilled to be pulling my lazy behind out of bed I did climb the hill and began my decent down 122nd St. Always on the look out for dogs I saw something in the middle of the road about 1/2 mile down. What I didn't expect was the rather large bird I came upon-with a white head. Have you guessed it? A bald eagle! I've actually seen it flying a time or two, but never this close. Apparently a fan of roadkill, it was trying to get himself a little breakfast. I wish I'd had my cell phone to get a picture of it. My neighbor told me where the nest is, so that is my next venture to see if I can find it.
Tate learned sidewalk chalk isn't JUST for eating, it also makes cool markings on the sidewalk.
Apparently the Boy can be taught.
This is our new way of vaccumning the floors. Tate's love for the v. cleaner was prohibiting it's purpose so I showed him what else he can do besides hugging it. We now vaccumn the floor together. I push, he rides.
With McKenna in school Tyler and Tate spend a lot of time together. Their relationship has really blossomed and they are quite cute, always looking out for each other. Tate still loves to go wake Tyler up from her nap and she seems to like it as well. Tyler is sleeping upstairs during naptime now and Tate will go up and find her and I'll here them upstairs giggling. I hate to admit they are both using binki's-but Tate loves to give Tyler what we call "binki kisses", and one is never enough.
McKenna and Tyler broke out the rollar skates- As you can see she was a little bit nervous, so Tate was there to help Tyler out providing a little extra weight for her so she doesn't fall.
Last but not least today John and Sara, a friend/co-worker came over and built our newest Garden boxes in the backyard today. So excited for the fresh Vegetables to get here!

Time lapse...
My how the time flies, so I'll be doing a little catch up tonight-backposting them all of course. Can't believe its been over 10 days since posting.
So keep an eye out over the next couple of days. I have no excuse....been turning extra time into the Ghost Whisperer. Love that show. Unfortunately Ion shows 2 episodes 4 days a week...it's a job i'm embarrassed to admit I've been trying to keep up on. Working on ridding my current addiction. Nothing a little sunshine can't take care of...should it ever decide to come out more consistently :_

Working hard!
Only 16 months old and already wanting to be, well like...everyone else in the house.
Luckily he has his own, unattached keyboard to play on.
Wish he could've done some blogging for me.

What are those?
I'm a big fan of a couple of baking blogs. I'm mostly consistent and loyal to Conversations with a Cupcakes, but I also really like Bakerella. Wanting to do a fun easter baking project with Tyler I found these really cute bunnies on a stick: cake-pops are what she calls them. These were her version of easter bunnies last year. Mine were not quite as cute-had a few people ask what they were-they look more like mice. My friend TD also made some cake pops without the stick and I was not wise to the ways of white chocolate chips when one cannot find any candy melts. There for we went for taste in the form of a gnauche covering. it was yummy. Leslie was there to help Tyler and I make these for our dear friend Ady's birthday. She provided cute sprinkles for the nose and eyes. It was fun and the kids LOVED them!

Easter Sunday!
With my parents in town the sleeping arrangements changed a bit. We put Tate in the Girls room and brought the girls in with us. I have to admit it's been fun to have them in the same room-and convenient for when Tyler gets me up to go use the bathroom.
I have to admit I don't know how the Easter Bunny got past us, leaving an egg under each girls pillow with a little bracelet in it. Sneaky bunny!

When Grandma comes to Play
While working on lunch one day Grandma Harris took the kids out back. When I went to get them I found them doing this:
