McKenna turns 9

McKenna looks forward to her birthday I think even more than Christmas. We counted down, we planned the day, the decorations, the menu, the cake and ice cream, and the guests. McKenna knows exactly what she wants and our only fear is to disappoint her. I think all was well and every expectation was met this year.

We had the traditional breakfast of pink pancakes and then ran some errands while we waited for a few friends to come over for a playdate. Mariah and her sister Kayla (who is Tyler's age) came over  to play in the water and to ride horses.

Couldn't forget Tanner, plus Tate needed a friend

That evening we had a small gathering of friends and family for Cake, Ice Cream and gifts. I think she got everything she wanted.
Lego Friends Café, Light up heart pillow, bunny, magic trick, Nintendo DS & games
EVERYTHING she wanted. Spoiled and happy girl.

Chocolate Cake, Homemade Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream

We love our McKenna-over the past year here are some things we remember: She had her 1st visit to the Orthodontist and is looking forward to braces. She's a pretty happy girl who Loves her brothers and sister (with the exception of when they take or destroy her stuff). She loves cuddling while watching a movie or reading, she loves to sing and dance and wants to be a rock star. She has found an absolute adoration for the boy band One Direction. She declared she would like to have a One direction bedroom, although I don't think I'm ready for that. She loves being the oldest sister and is trying to become a good babysitter. McKenna loves that she is big enough to carry Cooper around, and I think he's starting to warm up to the idea these days too. She's looking forward to the 3rd Grade, and hopes the school work will be as easy as Kindergarten.  Who doesn't right? She loves to jump on the trampoline, play Lego Friends with Tyler, occasionally castle with Tate, and making Cooper smile. Her favorite foods are Pink Pancakes, Taco Soup, Tostadas, chips and holy moley guacamole and dessert every night after dinner, especially Homemade chocolate fudgy ice cream, and apple juice.

McKenna is already looking forward to being 10, but at 9 I think she's still growing up a little too fast. We Love you McKenna!
