Play dough

With moving come the rediscovering of lost treasures. For Tate this is Playdough. I don't know if he's been exposed to it at preschool, but I do know that he has a new love for this stuff. he will play with it for an hour making snakes and blobs that he calls horses. Love that his attention span just got that much longer.
The girls have even gotten into it.

anyone know how to rotate pictures on Blogger now?

Taylor or Tyler? Bring on the Band

We have become big fans of Taylor Swift lately. We got the Speak Now Live DVD. I walked into the room and was confused, thinking Taylor Swift had moved in. Taylor sings almost as well.

The rest of the band soon joined us when school let out.

Tate, well he found his own costume, after Happy Feet.

Grandma & Grandpa H come to help

As the Final days For packing and preparation oF the big move to Sumner came Help arrived in a car packed From Utah. Grandma and Grandpa Harris came to the rescue, only to Find that things had been put on hold. They think we've gone to extreme measures Fabricating a story about moving just to get them to come visit. A girls got to do what a girls got to do...although this was not the case the help was more than appreciated. They came and stayed an extra week and a half, packing boxes, cleaning house, and even painting the new bedrooms and making sure we got moved into the new place beFore heading home.
It was pretty wet and rainy the whole time they were here, so we did take a break from moving heading to the city for a little fun at the Pacific Science Center

Creative Bones...

During the storms when the power went out Crayola's modeling clay was our saving grace. We made these lil animals, mostly Kangaroos and Elephants. There were quite a few that didn't survive, may they RIP. We had a lot of fun making them and even more fun playing with them.
A few weeks ago our lil friend Tanner came home from school with a robot he had made out of boxes-a little recycling project. We were inspired and decided to make some of our own.
They were fun but couldn't stay for too long since we're packing and trying to alleviate the clutter.

The kids quickly moved on and put together their own rock band. They sound magnificent. Love the imagination!

The Snow is HERE!

As we were getting ready for church the snow finally came to Washington.
The kids were beyond thrilled, it doesn't take much snow and couldn't wait to get out and run and play in it for a bit before church.
Although when church let out we found the ground bare, it had warmed up just enough to melt all the snow. McKenna was heartbroken due to her plans to play in the snow after church.
Her cries must have been heard because while I was indulging in a Sunday afternoon nap I guess the snow really started to fall. The kids came and got their Dad and they headed outside to play in the snow before it could melt again. Nobody more fun to play in the snow than with your Dad, at least at our house.
These smiles say it all!!!
