Grandma & Grandpa H come to visit

We didn't waste any time finding festivities to go to with Grandma & Grandpa Harris as soon as they got here. 1st on the schedule:

The lighting of the Bridge
the fireworks were a little loud (still)
the girls were a lil shy but excited to see Santa Claus
Afterwards a lil movie time with Grandpa on his new i-pad
Tate loved having his Grandpa there to wrestle & play with
The girls did a lot of game time with Grandma.
Me-I enjoyed watching and trying to get my house in order.

41 Years and still ticking...

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!
41 years isn't just a walk around the park- 6 kids, 4 in-laws, 9 grandchildren, and a number of pets throughout the years. I'm inspired by the love and devotion you show one another! By What you've done, survived, and aspire to continue doing in life, with your family and one another.

8/1-8/2 This and That

Monday Morning we made an impromptu plan and headed out to see family. We first met Silvia and the kids Nicholas, Alex and Leslie at 'Old McDonald's' for lunch and then headed to Costco after discovering I was out of wipes. Made for some extra time to play with out cousins.
Afterwards we met up with my Cousin Mandolin who I hadn't seen in years. Growing up we had been pretty tight at family events and I had missed her terribly. We spent a fantastic afternoon watching the kids play and catching up.

We went home and just had a lazy evening playing with the puppies and in the yard.

Fruit was in Season and Grandma was picking Apricots and Tate found the Raspberries.
The kids couldn't get enough of either
Tate and I had a great time on the sports court.
This was Tate's favorite place. On the Tractor and usually with Grandpa.
Girls loved playing with Grandma's Polly Pocket dolls and House

Just a few snipetts of the things we did in the evenings when we got home.

Pancakes, Puppies & Rainbows

Can't believe a week has already passed. The time is flying by way tooo quickly. The Stephany's & Wahlstroms came over for yummy pancakes again. Afterwards while the kids were out playing some dark clouds rolled in and gave us a great Lightening storm- and then the rains came down.

Grandpa was able to get little Whitney smiling which was fun for all of us to see. Something about those cute babies and smiling that warms the heart.
If my babies were all this happy all the time I think I'd have a half dozen of them. Definitely in love with this little girl.
McKenna and Keira strutted their stuff for their photographer Tyler.
Then we took turns holding the puppies and Maddie beautified their lil heads with some bows.
After the storm the sky was adorned with 2 rainbows. It was an awesome sight-I love summer storms!

Sunday Night Pancakes

John's last night in Utah before flying back to Washington was full of surprises! They came in the form of James' family, Shelly's Family, and Amber's family. Everyone but Brooke arrived for Grandpa Harris' famous Sunday night pancakes. Schedules seemed conflicting but somehow they all came and we were reunited with my siblings. Next time we might have to all go to Brooke. :) It was wondeful to Meet James & Laura's new little boy Ryan. I spent time holding him until he decided I wasn't as good as his mom and then he disappeared- :) I almost didn't recognize Laura with her new brown due, very cute!

Kids eat 1st-then the adults take a turn.
Baby Whitney made her dancing debut-Such a cute little petite little thing
There's no telling what these 2 are up to-always puts a smile on our faces
Thanks everyone for taking the time to come and see us and to see John off!

Mormon Row/Jenny Lake

Our last big day in Jackson...well we headed back to Teton National Park. Starting first at Mormon Row- Where as you can guess the Mormon's had settled at one time and now the Buffalo frequent and is a great place to watch them cross around noon going towards greener pastures. The Tetons looked fantastic and with the barns-ah, couldn't get enough of them.
The kids couldn't get enough of the horses and donkeys. A little something for everyone.
On the way out we were able to watch as the Buffalo were moving themselves to greener pastures. I guess something they routinely do everyday.
Then we headed to to one of my favorite places-Jenny Lake. We didn't have much time as there was much still to do-but we got souveniers and walked around the lake and got a few fun pictures.

Afterwards we headed home for one last swim and to see the famous Jackson Hole Shootout. It's changed a bit over the years-but still just as loud with all the gun shots.
We stopped by for more souveniers and found some great hats and sweatshirts for $5 a piece. This bear was not in our price range but the kids loved sitting in it!
Big man incharge leading the way as we cross the street back to the condo.
Let the Sleepover Begin....
John and I slipped out for what I expected to be a nice stroll through town. Instead we jumped in the car, stopped by the DQ for a Blizzard and then headed out to Jenny Lake to watch the sunset behind the Tetons and enjoy an almost eerily peaceful park. Who knew John was such a romantic? It was the perfect last night!
It's all come and gone too quickly-hopefully it won't be another 10 years before I make it back to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Yellowstone park.
