A year and a half ago we put a new front door in. John and I were talking about everything we had to do to the house and the foundation just to get to that point. In our attempt to do some cosmetics to the house we decided to add a porch. Well after consulting with a friend of ours in the ward who does Architecture and is a carpenter we realized a big porch wasn't really an option. He suggested we add what is call an "eyebrow" and we really like the results. Take a gander and see what we've been doing.

I want a garden too, but can't decide yet how to do it. I love the flowers, and nice lift on the front door. It looks more like a cottage, very shieck (sp?).
