Snow? What Snow? (Day #7)

It was a restless night for John-I think he knew something was in the air. Last night it was mostly the wind that blew rubbing insult to injury for those who were still without power and leaving the rest of us wondering if we would be keeping our power as the lights flickered. John said he got up for a drink of water and watched a transformer as it flickered and sparked threatening fire and more damage.

We were blessed with power and safety through the night. I wish we could say all had gone without event but a tragedy hit the Clifton's as their 1913 barn roof was blown off the structure. Luckily none of the horses were injured and no one was hurt, but it was a beautiful barn, a piece of history has been destroyed.

We did wake to a lil snow left on the ground, which continued to dwindle throughout the day. John went over to help clean up the roof, and the 2 T's and I finally made it to the grocery store and out of our house. Winco had gone without power for 4 days and had to throw away most of their dairy, freezer, and produce sections. The devastation and damage continues to go on. Ah, so ready for Sunday and to go and feel of the spirit and to sit and listen to the speakers. Bring it on and lets start a new week.
