Jane Austen

I've found a new love for Jane Austen. I don't have many television stations, PBS and CBS on a rare day. Masterpiece Theatre the last few months has been showing the complete series of Jane Austen.

I actually ran across them by accident and wasn't quick enough to realize or maybe it was to remember it was on each Monday night but kept stumbling across them and couldn't walk away. I've been quite surprised at the familiarity of the actors and actresses portraying the characters. I look forward to reading her books and words myself, but I'm currently reading George Elliot's "Middlemarch" which was suggested by a friend. I guess George Elliot was one of the 1st female authors, even before Jane Austen. It's a good book, but I find myself constantly distracted by household chores, children, the computer and the television...One day.
