With Tate's new love for playdough we've run out, and so we decided to experiment and try and make some. Not as easy as we thought. We found a few recipes on Pinterest and decided to make playdough using Jello for color and smell.
This is Tate showing you how sticky it is F-U-N, but just not the results we were looking for.

The best play dough recipe
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 cups water
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
4 scant tablespoons oil (AKA just under 4 tsp)
food coloring
Cook on medium heat in large pot stirring constantly until ball forms remove from pot and knead for 2 minutes (will be very warm). (Food coloring can be added to water first to help mix in or kneaded in after.)
